Characteristics of My
Coaching Clients...
My coaching
clients are high-functioning individuals who... ...accept responsibility for their decisions and their impact in the world. They're not
looking for someone to “diagnose” what is wrong, to provide them with hope, give them answers or hand them a plan
or vision to follow. They
are looking for someone to be a facilitative partner in their growth, someone who will support their vision and creativity,
help them tap into their own wisdom, and trust their capacity to generate deep, authentic, integral solutions. Someone with
whom they can collaborate, explore, and work through to the other side of the inevitable challenges of life. They know that,
ultimately, their lives and contribution to the world is theirs to create and live by. ...want a coaching partnership that is powerful and transformative and
they're willing to do their part to create it. They are prepared to prioritize the time, resolve, self-patience, and investment required to grow themselves and their
impact through our work together. ... carry realistic expectations regarding the change process. Coaching
can be transformative and it can create deep, wide ripple effects in one's life and world. But our clients know that, while
some changes can happen quickly, the deeper currents of transformation take time. For the coaching relationship to develop
and become powerful, it requires sustained commitment and the willingness to examine and work through old patterns of thinking
and action. An openness to experiment, reflect, try new approaches and stand in unfamiliar places is required as part of the
journey. ... have a
long-term commitment to their growth and impact. It takes time, mindfulness, deep reflection and resolute
courage to overcome the limitations of the old paradigm and the status quo. Therefore, coaching with VisionLegacy requires
a minimum of three to six months to create results. If you are not ready to make such a sustained commitment,
you should probably consider other growth opportunities. Our process asks a lot of you — in time, reflection, and experimentation
— because the implications of our work is ultimately transformative. In the end, our clients get as much out of the
process as they put into it. If
you have a shorter term need - consider attending a VisionLegacy speaking engagements or
one of our workshops or retreats. While the impact of a longer-term, one-on-one
relationship is naturally greater, these other options can often serve as the catalyst for stimulating insight and the resolve
for greater action. Now that you know more about what clients receive through individual coaching,
the different coaching options open to clients, and some of the characteristics of my coaching clients, next learn About VisionLegacy.

What
do my coaching clients say?
"Thank you for always being my beckoning
light in both darkness and light..." (DN, Artist & Arts-based educator)
"My
confidence in my business and what I offer to the world has grown by leaps and bounds. You've been more than a coach
- you've been a friend and a great support. I have a deep sense of gratitude because I really don't know how I would
have done it without you." (Academic transitioning into business)
"One
of the things I really appreciate about you is your path. Because of it, I feel that you're able to really 'get me'
and to guide me in a way that a lot of other people can't. That's not easy to find." (EH, Integral educator
& consultant)
"As a facilitator of transformative practices
and a life coach I'm very particular about whom I choose as my coach and I expect a lot from that person. You are a truly
gifted coach who exceeded my expectations. Your depth and warmth, combined with your keen insight and ability to see beyond
what's spoken, is a true gift. In just a few sessions, you helped me to resolve the issues I knew I was wrestling with while
also supporting me to reconnect to a deeper current of meaning in my life that I hadn't quite realized I'd strayed from. I
would have been happy enough with my particular problems solved but was elated to find a more powerful sense of purpose and
passion return to guide me as I move forward into some challenging times. You are a blessing." (Dr. SM, Workshop
& Retreat Leader, Leadership Coach) "I consider you to be my muse." (Dr. WC, Co-owner, High tech, solar
energy consulting firm)
"The way you coached me helped me understand my work within
the larger context of my life and the way I am located in the world at this time in history. Beyond meeting goals, coaching
became a kind of training in how to shift and enlarge my perspective on my work. At my best, I can now view my academic work
as part of a process of working through personal and collective predicaments. This holistic, integral perspective on my work
renews my energy and makes me less fearful. I still struggle, but I have more insight into my strengths and challenges. I
feel much more at ease with the process of my work. I'm more self-accepting" (Dr. MB, Sociologist) "Working with you was a groundbreaking experience.
When I think of how overwhelmed, upset, and lost I felt three months ago and compare it to the excitement and direction that
I feel I have now it's amazing. Thank you for the feeling of sustainable hope our coaching relationship has left me
with!" (RP, Corporate Research & Training) "I know you believe in me even when I can't see my way... Thank you for your incredible
insight and your compassion and empathy." (SC, Public speaker) "You have exactly the right balance - lofty ideas
and both feet on the ground. I would highly recommend you to anyone." (RD, Chief Financial
Officer) "I started coaching sessions with you because I felt like I'd
never really dove into my artistic practice: in fact, I carried around a constant feeling that I had failed, that I was too
late; I was too old to pursue an artistic career. Through our work together, I began to question the beliefs that were holding
me back, and better articulate a deep vision for my life. I was able to include my artistic work without sacrificing
all the other parts that I hold dear, including a deep desire towards social justice and immense love for my family. With
you encouraging me and challenging me, I am now living and pursuing a richly satisfying life that integrates my artistic practice.
Now, instead of feeling anxious, I feel excited and curious about the possibilities that continue to open up for me. You
helped me build a satisfying career, yes, but also an integrated and joyous life." (D.Y., Performer / Voice Teacher
/ Non-profit leader)
